Get Your X Men Costume Ready For Halloween With These Cool Costumes
Storm is the queen of the weather, and this costume from Giant-Size X-Men #1 shows her off at her best. While the X-Men have a history of over-sexualizing women, this outfit is tasteful and elegant. It combines the form-fitting under layer of the X-Men with a voluminous overcoat that showcases Storm's chiseled physique. The gold accents give her a godly look, which is fitting for the Storm of this era.
This outfit is perfect for any comicon, expo or super hero themed party. Pair it with Wolverine or another X-Men character to make a unique couples costume. This costume is also great for cosplay, as it includes a wig and cape. Complete the look with black leather gloves and an X-Men belt buckle, and you're ready to save the world! Be sure to add a pair of go-go boots to complete your costume. You'll be the most powerful mutant in the room. No one will be able to compete with you!
Wolverine
Wolverine is arguably the most popular character amongst Marvel's mutants and he has worn a lot of different costumes over the years. This includes not just his comic book costume but also the costumes he's worn in movies, cartoons and games.
When Wolverine first appeared, he wore a leather look that was very similar to his modern counterpart. This included a shirtless bodysuit with brown and yellow stripes on the shoulders. The outfit was worn for two issues before being replaced by the blue and yellow uniform that is still his signature look today.
The brown and tan suit that Wolverine wore for a short time after being sent into Weapon X was more brutal than his classic uniform. This outfit included a white tank top, dirty jeans and military dog tags.
During the Age of Ultron storyline, Wolverine was in a clandestine government program where Adamantium was grafted into his bones. This gave him a very armored appearance that was similar to the suit from X2. This was the closest Wolverine ever got to his classic red and brown costume.
Magneto
The most famous mutant villain in the X-Men series, Erik Lehnsherr a/k/a Magneto is known for his innate power over metal and his belief that humans and mutants cannot coexist. Sir Ian McKellen took this role and made it his own with the help of his awe-inspiring acting abilities and a brilliantly dark costume.
This version of Magneto's costume was more refined than his body-hugging leotard and cape style from the comics. It also allowed him to keep his recognizable crimson and purple colors while still maintaining a darker look that reflects his philosophies and ulterior motives.
Lucas Till's take on flame-bursting Havok didn't exactly wink at the original comics but he did create an excellent version of this character's iconic costume. It was simple and clean and reflected his new role as one of the last defenders of mutant-kind. It was a great choice for this alternate reality. He even kept the iconic helmet from his previous incarnation.
